Final Cut Feedback

Once we had finished our final cut of our video we wanted to gain feedback from our target audience to aid us in our individual evaluations.

 

Below is various pieces of feedback we gained from people in our target audience and also our peers.

 

 

We also sent out the video as an email attachment and got some feedback from our target market that way :

 We also asked some teachers to look at it, overall they enjoyed it, some feedback from them can be seen below. It was interesting to us that they enjoyed it because they weren't part of our initial target audience, this tells us that our product has the potential to appeal to a wider audience than we initially thought.

Final Cut

Analysis of Feedback from Rough Cut 3

We have got a better quality version of our song which we are going to add to the final cut of our song after this rough cut. We are also glad people still notice the contrast between Ben and the party, and we are pleased about people liking our new ending as we were unsure wether it looked better than the previous one.

As previously stated we are making adjustments to our sound so we will hopefully have resolved the only issue left which was raised in our feedback by our final cut.

Rough Cut 3

Analysis of Feedback from Rough Cut 2

 We are pleased we kept the slow-motion from the first rough cut as this seems to still be a positive point when people are giving us feedback. The toilet shot was in there as a trial, for a potential ending, however we were unsure of it to start with so we are going to remove it on reflection.

We have made a few minor adjustments to the lighting in the shots using a change in brightness and contrast during post production so we are pleased that people have changed their opinions on our dark lighting as this was a point that was mentioned a lot in our rough cut 1 feedback.

The mirror shot was a shot which we were unsure about in the first place so we have decided to take it out as we feel after feedback that it didn't fit with the flow of pace of our video as well as all the other shots.

We have reviewed all of the piano shots in our video and we can't find any points where it is out of sync however we have taken this point of board and will continues to look.

We have decided to make the beginning bit before the music starts shorter as we agreed that its current length was too long and made it feel slightly awkward.

We like the positive feedback on the effects we have used as they make the difference between the black and white and colour shots more prominent, however we are still adjusting all the shaky shots to smooth them out.

We have a lot less feedback than our initial rough cut, which is also a lot more positive that our first lot of feedback, this means that we have successfully made some good changes to our music video. We have taken these improvements on board and we are going to adjust what needs to be changed accordingly so when we do our next rough cut we will have even less negative feedback.
